Pete and I previously agreed three weeks was the longest we cared to be away from home. Three and a half weeks is too long. For this trip, because we are visiting family and “Papa, we are three long plane rides away,” we’ve extended to week number four. It’s a week of earth changes and marked changes in the weather. It’s become cold in southern Italy, and this coming weekend we head north to Tuscany where it is colder. Going shopping today for winter clothes for the kids.
